Relationship Access

Immediately after creating a relationship type, two security access rights are generated. One right, found under Relationship Read has “Read Only” access, meaning the user can only view relationship information. The second right, found under Relationship Write has “Modify” access, meaning the user can view and modify relationship information including creating new relationships.

Note: A Fellowship One user with both Security Officer and Administrator access must grant access to a relationship type for each Fellowship One user who needs relationship access.

Note: These rights are specifically for church administrators who need access to notes created for Relationships. These rights have nothing to do with WebLink access through the church website.

To grant relationship access

  1. Click Admin > Security Setup > Portal Users. The Portal Users grid appears.
  2. Click the Actions gear and Edit rights beside any user who needs relationship access rights. The Manage User Rights form appears.

Note: You can also create a security role with multiple relationship rights. Simply grant the Fellowship One user access to the relationships role. Check out Creating Security Roles for directions.

  3. Select the check box beside Relationship Read or Relationship Write to grant rights to all relationship types. Otherwise, click the arrow beside Relationship Read or Relationship Write to expand the list of relationship types. Select the check box beside the appropriate relationship types.
  4. Click Save user rights. The user now has access to the relationship.

Note: If the user is already signed into Fellowship One, sign out and sign back in again to access this relationship type.
